The intention of the Veterinary Osteoarthritis Alliance (VOA) is to provide a resource utilising a body of multidisciplinary professionals to facilitate, support and assist the veterinary profession to manage osteoarthritis (OA) from point of diagnosis to end of life care. Our main effort will be the provision of seminars throughout the UK that will provide theoretical and practical training, giving access to the latest research, evidence, technologies and associates involved in the care of the canine patient with osteoarthritis.
VOA Seminar 17th – 18th March 2017
This two day course (the first of its kind!) has been designed for small animal clinicians, nurses, paraprofessionals and receptionists who wish to increase their knowledge in treating canine osteoarthritis from diagnosis to end of life care. Osteoarthritis will be discussed via an evidence-based approach, the speakers will explain their personal views on these modalities and especially how they use them as part of their daily clinical routine. The focus will be on treating the canine patient in a holistic and multi-disciplinary fashion. The day includes practical sessions including a wet lab on intraarticular injections.
