Equine clinicians will be able to brush up on their knowledge of tendon, ligament and joint disease at a specialised CPD course in September.
The one-day Orthopaedic Therapies and Regenerative Medicine course, from Nupsala Veterinary Services and worth 7.5 hours of CPD, will take place on 21 September at Oakham Veterinary Hospital in Rutland.
The course has been designed for equine clinicians with a working knowledge of orthopaedics who wish to increase their knowledge and practical skills in treating equine tendon, ligament and joint disease.
Orthopaedic therapies will be discussed via an evidence-based approach, the speakers will explain their personal views on these modalities, including some of the latest products available and how they are used as part of their daily clinical routine.
There will also be group participation and a wet lab session covering ultrasound guided injections, injection points for various treatments, scanning techniques, class IV therapeutic lasers and how to harvest bone marrow or adipose tissue, a spokesman explained. The cost per delegate is £295, plus VAT.
